Are UKFRRT members insured to work in emergency mortuaries?

The issue of employers liability insurance in temporary mortuaries is a complex one, particularly when radiographers have been released on full pay by their NHS or other employers, to work on behalf of the Coroner or Police, in a temporary mortuary managed by a local authority in another region!

For this reason, AFR has arranged employers liability insurance for all its UK members. This means that you are insured to work for AFR & UKFRRT in the United Kingdom. If an overseas response is required, AFR will make sure that appropriate employers insurance cover is in place. (You may however be required to arrange your own travel insurance)
