Do radiographers get paid by UKFRRT if called upon to respond to an incident

For incidents arising in the UK, where radiographers have been released by their employers on full pay, radiographers will not receive any additional payment for responding to an incident. (In some circumstances it may be possible for employers to seek re-imbursement directly from requesting authority, but this is unlikely). We cannot therefore pay you for your services except in specific circumstances.

We will however make sure that all your expenses are paid for promptly, either directly by the requesting authority or by reimbursing you from AFR funds and then invoicing the authority directly for expenses incurred.  your expenses will be paid. In some instances, AFR are paid for the service and the equipment they provide and are able to pay radiographers an honorarium for each day worked. AFR uses the balance of funds received to buy new equipment and to subsidise training for members.  AFR is a non-profit making organisation.
