The Role of the UKFRRT

The UKFRRT has been established by the International Association of Forensic Radiographers to provide a co-ordinated and timely response to requests from UK government agencies for the provision of forensic imaging services to the temporary mortuary in the event of a mass incident. A single telephone contact point is provided for this purpose, regardless of the location of the mass incident.

Organisational Structure

The UKFRRT organisational structure is as follows:

Duty Manager  - Initial telephone contact point (24hours) – Region specific

Incident Co-ordinator (Silver) – Liaises with temporary mortuary team

Team Leader (Bronze) – Mortuary Co-ordinator – Planning, equipment, team org.

Logistics (Bronze) – Equipment management & Long term staff planning
