MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Forensic Radiography)
This course is ideal for radiographers who wish to advance their forensic-radiography skills within their clinical setting.
Course aims
This course aims to:
- extend your knowledge and skills to a specialist level in forensic radiographic practice
- develop a critical understanding of research methodologies and their use in creating clinical evidence as well as strategies for locating and appraising evidence for use in forensic radiography practice
- develop high levels of autonomy and advanced clinical decision-making skills and apply them in the forensic radiography practice setting
- develop the intellectual and professional independence commensurate with mastery
- contribute to the knowledge base which underpins and informs an aspect of forensic practice.
Course structure
Core modules focus on evidence-based practice and research and specialist modules address diverse radiography issues in forensic practice. In Year 1 you will study Forensic Radiography and Evidence-based Practice. In Year 2 you choose an option module and study Forensic Radiography in Mass Fatalities and Designing Research Projects. Finally, in Year 3, you write a dissertation.

Entry requirements
Applicants should be registered radiographers and have an honours degree (2.2 classification or above) or be able to provide evidence of the ability to work at postgraduate level.
